Last year I was down at Real Sports with a bunch of dudes watching the Sens take on the Pens when it happened. Gruesome to watch and gut wrenching to contemplate what it meant for our season. Silence enveloped the place as we came to grips with what Matt Cooke had just done to our stud d-man. He’ll never be the same, never have the same agility and quick step that we’d come to rave about. We were wrong.
How exciting can this kid get? Hell, how much better will he be 2 yrs from now? He’s only 23 yrs old and already he’s set this league on fire, won a Norris and once again continues to lead the league in scoring for Defencemen.
Last year, we paid tribute with our Ikea themed design showing what this great kid is made of. This year, we needed something to pay tribute to all of the excitement he brings to us on gameday.
